Trenchless sewer replacement and repair methods have been refined over the years to the point where dig-and-replace is no longer the only viable option. At Irontree, we've further fine-tuned the pipe repair process by using equipment and materials from trusted, industry-leading manufacturers. We also offer several minimally invasive options, allowing for even more flexibility.

How Trenchless Solutions Work

The goal with a trench-free approach to commercial pipe repair is to preserve the existing pipe and keep disruption minimal. For trenchless pipe repair in Phoenix, AZ, and nearby areas, we use three different methods. These are:

  • Brush cast epoxy coating
  • Epoxy resin pipe lining - CIPP
  • Sectional Point Repair

Irontree’s technicians arrive onsite and begin by performing a color video inspection and analysis of the deteriorated piping. With this visual information we will determine which of the three primary methods of rehabilitation will provide the most benefit and overall value. Once the best method or multiple methods are chosen, we prepare the piping interior for repair by thoroughly cleaning. The combination of hydro jetting and descaling with miller chain flares will ensure that all debris is removed, and bare metal is exposed to allow for the best epoxy adhesion. After allowing time for drying, we apply the Brush Cast epoxy one coat at a time with drying between coats. If CIPP lining, we invert the wetted-out liner and hot water or ambient cure until the epoxy has fully hardened. All lateral branch lines are then reinstated to return piping to service. When utilizing the smaller point repairs, the sectional epoxy point repair patch is wetted out around an inflatable bladder (packer), inserted into the pipe at the point of damage and inflated and allowed to cure in place.
